Welcome to Alligator Lake Aurora Lodges Inc.

Yukon, ‘Larger Than Life’, is known as the Land of the Midnight Sun but offers guests memorable experiences no matter the season. A land on almost half–a-million km2, from the Pacific Ocean to the Arctic Ocean, populated by only 35,000 people, this is a place of untouched wilderness, abounding wildlife (including moose, black bears, polar bears, grizzly bears, bison, lynx and caribou just to name a few) and friendly locals who are known for their hospitality.

Alligator Lake Aurora Lodges sits in the midst of this beautiful territory, located only 20 minutes from Whitehorse, and offering unparalleled views of Yukon’s majestic scenery.

With over 4,500 square feet (420 m2), soaring ceilings and a combination of original fixtures and modern upgrades, we offer three guestroom accommodations, a fulfilling breakfast, daily optional activities, transportation and multi-day expeditions.

Our master suite has three double beds and ensuite washroom with a private deck overlooking the surrounding mountains. On a clear day you have unobstructed views of the ranges surrounding the Whitehorse area. Our other two rooms contain two double beds each and share one large bathroom.

aurore01Whether you want to hike, bike, canoe, dog-sled, snowshoe, snowmobile, or ‘just be’, Aurora Lodges is the perfect place for you.

Aurora Lodges offers you the ability to simply stay in one of our guest rooms and engage in your activities. We are within walking/biking distance to the Takhini Hotsprings if you just want to relax or the Wildlife Preserve if you want to explore Yukon’s unique wildlife. We are also situated at the foot of a multitude of trails. We can provide you maps if you want to explore on your own or we offer guided daily tours.

Aurora Lodges also offers outdoor activity packages where you stay in our lodge at the beginning and end of your multi-day excursion, be it hiking, canoeing or participating in expeditions up to the Arctic.

No matter how you want to enjoy Yukon, whether in the summer with the midnight sun, or in the winter with breathtaking views of the Northern Lights, at your own rhythm or as part of a guided tour, let us share with you all that Yukon has to offer.

With northern hospitality and charm, Aurora Lodges is your home away from home.

Yukon Wildlife Preserve and Takhini Hot Springs

Wow! My whole family loved the Wildlife Preserve. We saw the friendliest moose, lots of mountain goats, bison and muskox. My kids are still talking about how much fun they had. Thanks for taking us to the Wildlife Preserve followed by a relaxing dip in the Takhini Hotsprings!
